Bank Statement PDF Converter is a macOS application that converts bank statement PDF files into structured Excel and CSV formats. The App uses a hybrid processing approach that combines on-device OCR with a secure cloud formatting step to deliver accurate results.

How Data Processing Works

Bank Statement PDF Converter uses a hybrid approach to convert your bank statements:

  1. On-Device OCR: Your PDF bank statements are first processed locally on your Mac using on-device OCR (optical character recognition), which converts the PDF pages into raw text. This step happens entirely on your device — your source PDF files never leave your Mac.
  2. Secure Cloud Formatting: The extracted raw text is encrypted and briefly sent to an isolated cloud formatter, which structures the data into organized rows and columns suitable for spreadsheet output.
  3. Immediate Delivery & Deletion: The structured output is returned to your Mac, and the data is immediately deleted from the server. No copies are retained.

Data Collection

Bank Statement PDF Converter does not collect, retain, or store any of your data beyond what is needed for the brief formatting step described above. Specifically, the App does not:

  • Upload your original PDF files to any server — only extracted text is transmitted
  • Retain any data on the server after processing is complete
  • Require user accounts or registration
  • Track your usage or behavior
  • Use analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks

Data Security

We take the security of your financial data seriously:

  • Source files stay local: Your original bank statement PDFs never leave your device
  • Encrypted in transit: All data transmitted between your device and the cloud formatter is encrypted using secure connections

Bank Statement PDF Converter is distributed through the Apple App Store. When you purchase or download the App, Apple's own privacy policy and terms of service apply to that transaction. We do not receive any personally identifiable information from Apple about our users. All purchases are handled securely by Apple.

Children's Privacy
